The first major of the year at Crompton and Royton GC, the Seven Cup, took place on Saturday 14t May. The winner was Andy Frizzell who won with an impressive score of 6 under par 64.
Andy opened with a birdie on the first and found 3 more on the front 9, at the 5th, 7th and 8th. A further two pars helped Andy to a fantastic -1 score of 35 gross. The back 9 being much more difficult to the front 9, Andy stayed steady and managed to find 2 more pars to bring him home in 41 giving him a combined score of 76.
The conditions on the day were perfect, full sun with a nice temperature and a light breeze meant the course looked and played it’s best.
